Life's New Beginnings is a non-profit organization established for the sole purpose of increasing public awareness of Domestic Violence and how it affects all of us.

Domestic Violence - Getting Involved

Getting Involved > About Us

Domestic violence probably isn't discussed on your 6 o'clock news and I don't recall ever seeing a spot on CNN, but the

U. S. Justice Department recognizes domestic violence as a problem.

Our nation, as a whole, should be ashamed that over 4 Million of our citizens are being physically, sexually, and emotionally assaulted in their own homes by someone who is supposed to love them.  Sadly, some 1,300 women are murdered in the United States each year by their partner.

Personally, we have had enough.  We want to tell the story of domestic violence all across this great nation and do whatever we can to stop the violence and the murders.

The cost of printing brochures, bulletins, booklets, flyers, posters, etc. are expensive.  The cost of Public Service Advertising is overwhelming.  The cost to travel to church and organizational meetings also takes its toll on the budget.

If you feel that what we are doing is worthwhile and you would like to be a part of stopping domestic violence, then we welcome your help.

You can print a Donation Form here.

If you would like to make a donation, please make your check payable to:

Life's New Beginnings
P. O. Box 440
Springfield, TN. 37172

Please note an address if you would like a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution.

Thanks for helping us

spread the word about domestic violence.

Other Ways To Get Involved

Our mission at Life's New Beginnings is to make sure every citizen of the state of Tennessee knows about the tragedies of domestic violence and the help that is available in Tennessee. We will be speaking at different organizational and community functions, distributing brochures in neighborhoods, sending out direct mail pieces, e-mail messages and visiting with Tennessee businesses to help educate them on the subject of domestic violence, as well as, violence against women in the workplace. We will also be contacting our Tennessee Senators in an effort to get the laws addressing domestic violence changed to more clearly define "domestic violence" and actually provide real punishment for the violent abusers.

Obviously, the success or failure of our efforts will depend on funding. We will have benefit functions to raise money to promote public awareness of domestic violence. If you are a singer, a musician, or an entertainer we can certainly use your help.

If you can volunteer to assist us in any of these areas, please contact us.

If you are a domestic violence survivor, we would like to hear from you. Give us a brief description of your experience with domestic violence and what life is like now that you once decided to make a change for the better.
Please, don't use your real name and don't use the name of the abuser or anyone who helped you in your ordeal (names of organizations, like HomeSafe will be OK).
We will publish your "testimony" on our web site and we will not use real names or addresses.
By sending us this material, you are giving Life's New Beginnings the right to use it in our efforts to promote public awareness of domestic violence.

Is your computer safe?

Places you have visited on the internet can be viewed by others, with little technical knowledge.

If you feel the computer you are using is being watched by someone, please go to a place where you will be safe.  Most libraries have computers for public use.

You may also want to go to a friend's house.
