It appears that current statistics on domestic violence in different areas of the country are very difficult to find and once this domestic violence information is finally located, the facts and figures are very difficult to interpret.

Domestic violence statutes differ drastically from state to state.  In fact, the definition of "domestic violence" is not uniform among the states.

It would appear that the very first step in bringing domestic violence to an end would be for all states in the United States to understand just what domestic violence is and adopt a standard definition.

Life's New Beginnings is a non-profit organization established for the sole purpose of increasing public awareness of Domestic Violence and how it affects all of us.
